Meal Prep Just Got Easier!
Meal Prep has made the biggest nutritional impact in my life. Every week I plan out recipes, grocery shop, and cook different foods so that I have nutrient dense meals ready for me to go. But even I find myself getting stuck on what to make especially when there is an over abundance of recipes out there. How the heck do I decide?
Then there are my personal nutrition goals and eating preferences. I love the way I feel eating a predominantly plant-based diet. Veggies are on the forefront of my mind and rarely am I eating a meal that doesn’t include vegetables.

When I say I eat plant-based I mean that my meals are focused on vegetables. We tend to think about the protein first. “I’m having chicken with a side of vegetables”. I’ve said that about a billion times! But ever since I started focusing on colors not calories, I’ve made huge changes in my diet to get more plants and I’m feeling the best I ever have when it comes to my energy and my relationship with food.

Meal prepping to me has also changed over the years. Once upon a time, my meal prep was boiled chicken, broccoli, and sweet potatoes. ALL OF THE TIME. Not that there is anything wrong with those foods, and please, if that’s what is working for you at this time stick with it! But when you get bored of that and want to start including more flavorful, nutrient rich, plant based recipes into your weekly meal prep well, I’ve got the tool for you!

Enter Gatheredtable! Gatheredtable is a meal planning tool dedicated to promoting a healthy lifestyle for the whole family. These meal plans are nutrition prescription driven and are generated by a team of Registered Dietitians. You won’t see these just anywhere on the web either, in fact only Registered Dietitians and Doctors have access to these meal plans to give to their clients.
Now before you think about the standard meal plan which gives you a fixed plan with calories, carbohydrates, and fats stop right there! I wouldn’t give those kinds of plans because the idea of staying fixed on a certain breakdown of foods doesn’t allow for flexibility in your life which is the opposite of sustainable.

I want to help people create healthy lifestyle habits no matter what they got going on. Kids? Full -time job? Grad-school? Habits like planning out dinners for the week, grocery shopping, cooking real, whole foods is what I hope all of my clients achieve! Meal plans also don’t allow people to get creative in the kitchen, explore through recipes, or help the whole family eat healthier. Then what happens when you get bored of the meal plan? That’s it there is no plan and you are right back where you started.
My goal is to get you to to develop the healthy habit of cooking your meals at home or “meal prepping” so that you have delicious, nutritious, health-promoting dishes to eat at home or take with you to work or school. But time and time again, I get asked the question about how to start meal prepping. To me the answer is start planning! Plan! Plan! Plan! Except NOW Gatheredtable & I do the planning for you.

So what meal plan am I offering? For now I am just starting out with the Anti-Inflammatory Meal Plan. I chose this because it is closest to the Mediterranean and DASH diets which have been proven to be health-promoting. The recipes are plant-based and still include foods I love to eat like fish, eggs, and sweet treats! There is a lot of good research to back up why those 2 eating styles are the best but all you need to know is that these recipes are rich in nutrients, based on real whole foods, and your plan is totally customizable. You can finally be the master of meal prep!
Gatheredtable makes planning your meal prep breakfast, lunch, dinners, and even afternoon snacks easier than ever. No more guessing on how to make the whole family happy because Gatheredtable lets you set your dietary preferences.
