I am not a fashionable person. I live life in workout pants 99% of the time. I have more sports bras than real bras and I'm not complaining! They’re comfortable, they hug the body in all the right places and they are functional. What more can you want in pants? Well, sometimes a girl does want to wear something other than workout pants. I’ve been feeling like that a lot lately and trying to diversify my wardrobe with non-workout clothes that I can still be active in!
Since I recently became an ambassador for Athleta Cherry Creek I ventured in for a pair of pants that I could wear to the grocery store, hiking, out to eat but were not tight to my skin. I found these super comfortable cargo pants. At first I tried them on in light gray in a size US 6 and I was like oooooh no, the light color on me was just not what I was looking for. Not to mention I was also wearing a size too big according to the stylists there! She asked if I wanted to try a different size so I tried on a 4 in green and fell in love!

I just really love the breezy-ness of these pants but still have that fitted look. I can’t wait to wear these on a cool Sunday morning hike and I definitely can’t wait to wear these just out n about in Denver!

On Fridays, I go grocery shopping. It’s my rest day for the workout week and just the best night for me and fiance to hang out and have a date night inside so no need to wear workout pants. I aim for comfy-casual and these pants are it! When we get home, we stock up our fridge with fresh food for the weekend so we don’t have to go out to eat (but can if we want!). Shopping on Fridays also frees up some weekend time that way I can do other things I enjoy like walking in the park or reading through my favorite cookbooks.

The Food of Southern Italy is one of my most favorite cookbooks. I've been "borrowing" this one from my mom for the last 5 years (thanks mom!). It has the most simple, delicious recipes. Southern Italian food culture emphasize plants and seafood. The animal based foods like cream and meat that's more Northern Italy. So think tomato sauce (south Italy) versus Alfredo (north Italy). Both are good! I prefer the tomato though :).

I have a few yummy recipes picked out from the book and will definitely be sharing them on the blog and Instagram as well as more fashion posts next week!
This post contains a sponsored link to Athleta although I purchased these pants with the FitPro discount and all opinions are my own :)
